Little Things.

"You'll never love yourself half as much as I love you,
You'll never treat yourself right, darling, but I want you to.
If I let you know
I'm here for you
Maybe you'll love yourself like I love you oh."
Little Things - One Direction (lyrics by Ed Sheeran)

Oh yes baby, I went to One Direction gig in Milan last night.
I had a lot of fun, I was there with my friend Eleonora.
Actually there was an enormous crowd: really too many people. And don't let me complain about the queue or the fact that we had 3 bottle of water just bought and we had to throw them away 'cause "the singers said so". Oh, One Direction, I should really love you a lot for doing this.
Almost lost all of my voice and have a terrible sore throat.
We were the loudest audience ever, but we had been waiting for them for  so long that it didn't seem true.

Well, I'm leaving you with two pics, one more artistic of the sun setting down behind the forum and one, taken in the "OMG I'm seeing them in 10 mins!!" moment.
Hope you'll enjoy them.

Where you at the concert too? What do you think about it?

Cheers!
Effie.

"Football is the poetry of a motion"

"Football is the ballet of the masses"
Dmitri Shostakovich

And because Italian school doesn't make us study the most useless things... today I had a test about soccer! Not the practical one, of course, but the theorical. I mean, it's obviously better for us students studying soccer and not having a run, as we stay all day long on books.
I could have studied something useful, but what I am going to do once I know which are the football rules? Watch the FIFA world cup knowing what a offside is?
Well, thank you school, but I already know that. It's like explaining what's the goal in playing basketball to an american guy.
But even if I think it's useless, I actually LOVE football - at least watching it - and I can stay all day watching a match.

I hope that at least it will give me a good mark.
Not good as the one that I have received in Maths.
My relationship with Maths is strange: even if I don't understand her I love her.
Tonight I'm watching the third episode of Game of Thrones, which is going to be the first I have ever seen. Does anyone follow it? What do you think?

Cheers!
Effie.

P.s. good intention for the new year: STOP PROCRASTINATE, EFFIE!

Time Flies

"No matter how busy you may think you are, you must find time for reading, or surrender yourself to self-chosen ignorance"
Atwood H. Townsend

Well, right now I'd prefer being ignorant. I mean, I really like reading and I guess I don't hate learning, but when it comes to study for the whole night, don't sleep in order to get just a sufficience in the next test, I'm more likely to shoot myself than to spend another night like those.

That's what I've been doing all this week long: study books, tea and yogurt with all sort of peanuts. Yummy!
♫ "Let's study, study,
Gotta get down on studying,
Everybody's looking forward to the weekend..."

C'mon Effie, shut up and don't demonstrate everyone how mad did you become.

Apart from my temporary mental insanity, I decided that from tomorrow I'm going to start to work out for the summer! Yay!
I don't know where I'm going to find the time for this, but I'll manage it. Oh, at least if my English teacher is not going to give us another silly homework like "Write a poetry".
I mean, one moment, what?
What should I write? Why, which is the goal of writing a poetry? Which type of poetry, maybe a sonnett or a ballade?
I end up writing something like this: "The cat sat on the mat, I sat on the mat, the cat died."
It's not I don't like writing, you know, writing is my biggest passion, but if you (teacher) don't teach me english, what's the aim of writing a poetry?
I also think (quite sure of this) that she wouldn't even mind about the poorness of my composition.

My Physics book is calling me, I can't decline its invite.
For now is everything.

Cheers!
Effie.

p.s. For all of you who are asking if I ever do something in my life apart from studying the answer's yes.
For example I just went out with my friend Beatrice (who has a beautiful blog, too) and we watch a movie together. D'you know Millennium? I'm quite enchanted by all the trilogy and I'm now reading the second book - which I don't know the title in english, sorry.-

Yellow

I haven't post anything in quite a long time, I know, but it was because i didn't have any possibility to connect to internet. I apologize for this.
I'm writing this while in car, going back to Milan.

On saturday afternoon my friend Frida told me that the night before she had been out with her friends (at a disco, I guess?) and there were also some of our favourite youtubers and she danced for a while with them.
You know, I love the youtube crew (Harries twins, Alfie Deyes, Marcus Butler, Caspar Lee and all the others) and above all I love a youtuber from Bath who thatches roofs (any resemblance is purely casual) so I immediately decided that I MUST go to London soon, but I was worried about my parents saying no.
They said yes.

I'm the happiest person on earth.

On saturday night I've been to a schoolmate party. Nothing to say about: lovely night, drunk friends, danced a lot, broke a bag and a necklace, really tired the day after.
I happened to know some really nice people who come to my same school.

The day after I left my friend's house where I have slept and I came back home where I took my luggage and left for my house in the countryside.

As I really got bored while there (me, my mother and my grandmother and some boars that sometimes cross our field), I'll post lots of photos, but nothing really exciting has happened while there, so I'll end the post right here.

Cheers!
Effie
